Board rules

The board is for real problems from real work in trucking. Every post and comment is reviewed before it goes live.

• Talk about the problem, not the people. Don't name brokers, carriers, shippers, dispatch services or other companies, and don't name individuals.
• No personal or business identifiers. No MC or DOT numbers, phone numbers, addresses, license plates, load numbers or screenshots of documents.
• No ads or self-promotion. Don't post offers for dispatch services, loads, trucks or jobs.
• Be respectful. No insults, threats or hate.
• Share your own experience. Don't post things you can't stand behind.

We may edit out details that break these rules, reject a post, or remove it later. Posts reflect their authors' own experience, not the views of Box Talk Trucking.

What we collect

• Free account: your email, the trucks you save (name and cost numbers) and the load calculations you choose to save. A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in on up to 2 devices.
• Board posts and comments: the text you write, the role and equipment you pick, an optional display name, and your email.
• Calculator feedback: your message, role and equipment, and your email only if you choose to give it.
• “Me too” votes: a one-way hashed code made from your connection and browser, so each person counts once. We don't store your IP address in plain form.
• Calculator inputs stay in your own browser unless you are signed in and press a save button.

How we use it

• Your email is never shown publicly. We use it to contact you about your post or feedback, and to stop spam.
• We read posts and feedback to decide which tools and videos to make next.
• We don't sell your information.

Spam protection

Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you're a person. Cloudflare processes some technical data for this check under its own privacy policy.

Accounts

One account is for one person. Don't share sign-in links. Free accounts keep up to 50 saved loads for 30 days; older ones are deleted automatically.

Removing your information

To ask us to remove your account, saved trucks and loads, post, comment, feedback or email, write to boxtalktrucking@gmail.com from the email you used.
